Edtech 2 Day 4 When learning is through playing games. We had the opportunity to produce our PowerPoint and MS Excel games last term on Education Technology 1 class. Then last meeting on our EdTech2 class, we were  once again tasked to present another games using different techniques of encoding and editing methods with the use of PowerPoint program. Seeing our classmates produce this kind of educational game awes me, I thought meeting and report presentations are the only capability the program. Utilizing these software opens up bigger possibilities on how we could use other none gaming software for giving a new twist on how to engage the audience and students. Like the possibility of using Adobe Photoshop layers to make a "name the person" game by simply blurring the image bit by bit then undo the process to reveal the person. Like using a model in Auto CAD to make them guess the other faces of the 3D shape. The possibilities of utilizing these so...

The Odds are Even

Ed Tech 2 Day 3 The Odds are Even😰 Black-out Poetry      I’ve tried to write a poem somewhere in my youth (so this means that, that was really way long time ago ). Mostly for trying to express my feelings for my then girlfriend (she’s my wife now).  When Prof. Olivar laid the two option for the activity last meeting, I said, well I’ll try something new tonight, instead of doing a comic strip from a magazine cut-out let’s find out if I could come-up with a poem from a newspaper article. As soon as I read the article that I was supposed to grab the lines for my poem, regret started to flow in. This is not easy I said, who in the world come up with this idea?      The article was about how a Japanese military officer in World War 2 that saved then President Osmeña from execution when the officer refused to carry out the order. I couldn’t think of any other theme for my poem other than something that talks about the military. Almost everybody...
Ed Tech 2 day 2              Aha! It just hit me and made me realize, this Online class that our Prof. required us to do is our very first practice teaching. Even though we’re not doing it face to face with our students, we’ll have to do it in a way that learning is delivered efficiently to our students.          Last term, MOOC was one of the topics that our group were assigned to report, an Online class at its very format. The number of students that this kind of teaching/session can reach is immeasurable. A single recording of a lesson can be played multiple times, at the most convenient time to the learners, at the most comfortable condition that they could possibly in, and up to the moment that the lesson could be obsolete or may need to be updated, how cool is that? Talking about not having to repeat things over and over again. Topic??? Hmmm.. Wait!! Account first..
Ed Tech 2 Day 1 Hello! It’s been many weeks since the last time that I had an entry here at my blog and now, this and the succeeding blogs will be for Ed Tech 2. I can honestly say that I enjoyed Ed Tech 1, mainly because not like the other subjects, for the second term, we are doing and engaged on the works in an unconventional way. We were able to use MS Excel and PowerPoint to do a game show, then got to shoot our own video presentation. Even this Blogging is something that I did not understand and have thought of, but now I‘m writing and composing this as if we are talking. The whole class felt uneasy when Prof. Angie Olivar started calling us one by one regarding her comment on our Blogs for Previous subject, specially our Video presentation. The very word that I felt in the atmosphere at the classroom that moment is “criticism”. But as the discussion go and sensing our professor’s good intention and the way she delivered her comments to our works and what we have to improv...
