EdTech Day 6_Class Quiz Group 6

EdTech Day 6       Once again, learning can be fun and rewarding. Our group’s (6 th ) 4 hour preparation ahead of the start of the class paid off when we somehow pulled our PowerPoint quiz/game show presentation successfully. We managed to perform well and enjoy the whole experience while learning. Ena and Carol Hosted the game, KC kept the score tally, Keno monitored the players and me on the game technicalities. We were all thankful to be blessed with minimal to almost no mistakes.      Taking turns, working together as a group or individually answer the other team’s PowerPoint and Excel games gave us time to learn competitively. Different game mechanics and quiz formats continuously engage the class to participate. The worth of the prices didn’t matter much because we really did enjoy what we’re doing. Imagine that at a group of shy kids or at a bored High School class. Tapping on the competitive, playful and reward hungry nature of huma...

Day 5 Presentation Techniques

Presentation Techniques The only time that I saw Ma’am Olivar use a chalk on the board was on our Arts App Class when she needed to draw and write the instructions for our task that evening. I don’t recall other than that instance or in any other class had the need. Why? Because our teachers doesn’t have to write on the board anymore. The lessons on all of our BTTE subjects have been delivered to the class by means of a presentation, most common form is in PowerPoint. Composed ahead, maybe from the previous BTTE classes and batch. The ease that technology and the Software is amazingly utilized not only for the students but also for the instructors. Having the knowledge, skill and creativity to use this bring today’s educators and speakers closer to the generation they’re at. I used to dodge chalk and its eraser thrown at me back in the days when Mrs. Agno on our Filipino class in high school catches me doing something else instead of listening. Sometimes it zing through my ear o...
EdTech 1 Group Reporting Day 4           Copyright ,Fair Use and plagiarism, Netiquette and Cyber bullying, Digital Divide and Addiction, Ubiquitous Learning and Wearable Technology,3D Environment and Virtual Reality and Massive Open Online Content.           With all the tech and advancements in teaching employed on today's teaching, standing in front of the class is still the most important method of delivery to the students. Being prepared and knowing the lessons to be thought is part of teaching but lets face it, how a person stand, speak, move, and explain the lesson will enhance attention and greatly motivate audience to learn.           Our group introduced and discussed MOOC on our report. While on the class, I realize that maybe in the future, like in MOOC classes that the instruction and the instructor is recorded. I also learned on our report that being in the field of the subject doesn't nessess...

Massive Open Online Course - MOOC_Day 3 EdTech1

Massive Open Online Course - MOOC Ed Tech 1 Day 3 One of the first lectures that was conducted by Dr. Sebastian Thuns in a MOOC or Massive Open Online Course was Introduction to Artificial Intelligence or AI. This concept of learning may have been coined long time ago, but as with any Idea or endeavor, they may have been confined on the available technology of their time. Packages of recorded Audio, Beta Max and VHS tapes accompanied by its Manual have been around for some time for a self-thought learning instead of just books that students usually read. Since the Mid 90’s when Global connectivity have been available to many through the internet, training on this kind of set-up have allowed students to interact, work with and learn together. Massive at its very term because classes can come at a thousand at a time. Age of the students vary from curious young to knowledge hungry professionals. Here in the Philippines, Online Education is the ...
